Sore throat and headache, cough and shaking chills
came on with suddenness with body aches
and not a wisp of voice. I screeched the brakes,
exchanging what I want to do for ills.
I hardly stay awake, keep taking naps,
while hoping that the pain will disappear,
but deepening bronchial cough is all I hear.
I fight, without success, against these traps.
